Our Responsibility

Community Involvement

Community Involvement

We create local employment opportunities and support local businesses wherever we operate. We are committed to early and continuous engagement with local communities and respecting the relationship and ancestral connection tangata whenua (people of the land) have with the whenua (land).

Ecological Integrity

Ecological Integrity

We design our projects to minimise impact on local ecological values and where possible, enhance and improve habitats, including through the use of native species in mitigation planting.

Highest Safety Standards

Highest Safety Standards

Our projects meet rigorous modern safety requirements, with comprehensive protocols for construction, operation, and maintenance.

Carbon Reduction

Carbon Reduction

Each project will contribute to the New Zealand energy system decarbonisation. During construction, we monitor emissions and waste generated for each project. Energy generated from our operating assets are registered with Bravetrace to ensure traceability.

"The greatest thing about the solar farm is that the company, RānuiGen, has included and discussed with the Marae nearly two years ago when they first started... Benefits to the Marae are being spoken about at every conversation. We are ensuring that [opportunities] to provide services are coming to companies in Kaitāia in the first instance."

Lisa McNab, Māori community leader in Kaitāia (during a radio broadcast in 2024)
